Emerging Artist Award Recipient
Fidel García was born in Cuba in 1981, and he currently resides in the capital of the island. His work focuses on the analysis of the absolute or static concepts in contemporary society, which are incorporated as absolute truths, making them an essential part of reality without really understanding their ‘why?’. García is constantly experimenting with interdisciplinary mediums, rethinking the ways of doing and understanding art. Fidel García was nominated by René Francisco.
