Emerging Artist Award

Katherinne Fiedler has an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. She finds in the inscrutable character of nature, and in its modes of representation, as seen via the contemporary gaze, a great source of metaphors and poetics. She use different media, mainly painting, video, installation or photography. 

Fiedler has shown her work in solo exhibitions and in a number of different collective exhibitions. Her work has also been selected for several major art contests and festivals, including InVideo Festival Milano, Atlas #3 Topografías del Archipiélago (Bogotá), Madatac Madrid, the Latino VideoArt Festival of New York, Lima Young Art Contest Municipality of Miraflores, Videoart Barcelona, MARCO, Vigo Contemporary Art Museum Spain, N-Minutes Video Art Festival, 3rd edition Unit IV Shangai, 5th annual Festival FIVAC, Camaguey Cuba, BIM Buenos Aires, Pasaporte para un Artista (Passport for an Artist), and Alianza Francesa de Lima (French Alliance of Lima), among others. Fiedler was selected for the Escuela Flora residence grant in Bogota, directed by José Roca.
