Raquel Schwartz
Raquel Schwartz is an accomplished Bolivian artist whose work is primarily concerned with society, politics and nature. She has participated in numerous solo and collective exhibitions and international biennials, including the Bienal de São Paulo and the Bienal del Mercosur. Currently, she is the Director of Kiosko Galeria, an independent alternative art space that she founded in 2006 (Bolivia) and of Simple Studios Srl. In 2001 and 2005 Schwartz organized KMO, a residency for international visual artists in Bolivia. She is the winner of the Premio Único en Cerámica en la X Bienal de Arte de Santa Cruz, and received honorable mention at II CONART in 2004. She currently lives and works in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
